MLT or Medical Technologist PRN

Job Description:

• The Medical Laboratory Technician is responsible for accurate performance of laboratory tests that determine the presence, absence, or cause of disease.

• A Medical Laboratory Technician must be able to conduct a full range of laboratory tests, from the most routine to the most complex, under direct supervision.

• Medical Laboratory Technicians must be able to operate precision instruments and other complex laboratory equipment.

Requirements:

• Associate degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology

• High school graduate or equivalent and successfully completed military training of 50 or more weeks and served as a medical laboratory specialist.

• American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or American Medical Technologists (AMT) certification within 12 months of employment required.
