Join Our Elite Security Team at Enbridge as an Executive Protection Supervisor Are you a security professional with a sharp strategic mind and a dedication to excellence? We are seeking an Executive Protection Supervisor to lead and implement comprehensive security strategies aimed at safeguarding high-profile executives and critical company assets. This pivotal role blends high-level operational oversight with hands-on protection duties, requiring a balance of tactical planning and real-time responsiveness. What you will do: Executive Protection & Security Operations:
- Develop, implement, and be responsible for executive protection programs tailored to company leadership and VIPs.
- Conduct risk assessments and threat analysis for executives and their families, both domestically and internationally.
- Accountable for oversight and to coordinate secure travel logistics, including advance site assessments, secure transportation, emergency response planning.
- Evaluate need for in-person coverage of trips and events and coordinate coverage by ES team members (i.e. Sr Security Specialists accountable for each region)
- Manage close protection teams and ensure all personnel are trained in security protocols, crisis response, and defensive tactics.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding executive movements, security measures, and critical company information.
Team Leadership & Management:
- Supervise, train, and evaluate executive protection personnel, including contractors and third-party security teams.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, industry standard methodologies, and legal regulations related to security and executive protection.
- Foster strong working relationships with law enforcement agencies, intelligence professionals, and private security firms.
Crisis Management & Emergency Response:
- Develop and implement crisis response plans for emergencies, including medical incidents, natural disasters, and security threats.
- Monitor global security threats and provide real-time intelligence updates to executives and key partners.
- Serve as the primary point of contact during security incidents, ensuring rapid response and resolution.
Budgeting & Resource Management:
- Run the executive protection budget, ensuring efficient deployment of security resources.
- Procure and maintain security equipment, vehicles, and technology necessary for executive protection operations.
Who you are: You have:
- 7+ years of experience in executive protection, corporate security, military or US law enforcement along with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice, security management, or related subject area
- Experience working and communicating with high-net-worth individuals or C-suite executives along with a background in protective intelligence and counter-surveillance
You can:
- Show strong situational awareness and threat assessment abilities along with outstanding decision-making and crisis management skills
- Offer experience with protective equipment like armored vehicles, secure communication devices, and surveillance tools
You are:
- Proficient in defensive driving, surveillance detection, and emergency response tactics along with the ability to operate discreetly in a high-pressure environment
- An outstanding verbal and written communicator with strong interpersonal skills
The following are considered assets:
- Prior experience working for the FBI, US Secret Service or Homeland Security
- Executive Protection certification (e.g., PPS, CPO, CPP) preferred
- Multilingual capabilities
- Formal training in close protection including surveillance, risk assessment, and defensive tactics
- Strong energy sector expertise, leadership skills necessary to efficiently implement and inspire change along with good project management skills
Working Conditions:
- Ability to travel extensively, sometimes on short notice, both domestically and internationally along with being on-call for 24/7 coverage
- Must be in excellent physical condition with the ability to handle high-stress situations
Physical Requirements include but are not limited to: Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time. Mental Requirements (Both Field & Office) include but are not limited to: Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
