Position Details:

  • Full-Time
  • Monday-Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM some weekends if needed.

Your goals and objectives include:

  • Monitors and reviews past due accounts and follows up documents to determine the nature and extent of delinquency problems and any actions taken by patient's or third party payers Displays a hard work ethic and completes daily cooking and cleaning tasks
  • Investigates delinquency cases to identify any special circumstances affecting payment delays and follow up with appropriate parties
  • Contact third party payer organizations and/or patients as necessary to facilitate the timely payment of past due charges or arranges alternative settlement plans
  • Complete financial counseling with patients to verify demographic/insurance information and to collect and/or arrange payment plans for patient responsibility
  • Identifies problem delinquencies and recommends their appropriate disposition (i.e., referral to collections agency, other legal action, or write-off)
  • Prepares and maintains records and reports documenting the status and amount of past due accounts in the timing and nature of their disposition
  • Insurance Verification

Qualifications

Your Qualifications and Requirements will include:

  • Experience working as a Financial Counselor or in finance for 1-2 years preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
