The Shopper Marketing Senior Specialist is a critical team member in driving our efforts across customers and the internal organization for the NUSA Omni Channel business. The Shopper Marketing Senior Specialist is responsible for developing and executing shopper marketing strategies that drive sales and increase brand awareness. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of consumer behavior, sales trends and category trends and be able to translate that knowledge into effective marketing campaigns that resonate with Sam's Club Members. They will work closely with our Walmart Shopper Marketing managers to support budget maintenance, program briefing, calendar maintenance, planning and special projects and initiatives. This role will also will work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, product development, and finance to ensure that all shopper marketing initiatives are aligned with business objectives.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: * In collaboration with the Walmart Inc. Shopper Marketing team, support annual planning processes, understanding unique business needs and developing strategy to achieve customer and company objectives. * Develop and execute shopper marketing strategies that drive sales and increase brand awareness on Sam's Club business. * For Sam's Club, develop and execute omni-shopper marketing campaigns including, but not limited to, in-store activations, digital media & paid search, ensuring alignment with brand and sales objectives. * For Sam's Club, end to end coordination with agencies and vendors from briefing process through post-performance completion as needed to facilitate programs and maintain Vendor Management System records * Program analysis, to evaluate efficacy and define key learnings, and coordinate cross-functional communication of results * Utilize analytical tools and dashboards to generate actionable insights and drive program optimizations * For Walmart Inc, build and maintain essential budget and invoice tracking through established tools and financial systems * Collaborate with cross-functional teams, RMN partners and agency partners to develop, execute, optimize and measure shopper marketing campaigns across Walmart Inc * Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of shopper marketing campaigns and make recommendations for improvement for Sam's Club and Walmart Inc as assigned. * Conduct research and analysis to gain insights into consumer behavior and preferences * Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in shopper marketing * Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including retail partners, agency partners and vendors KEY COMPETENCIES: * Strong understanding of consumer behavior and preferences * Solid understanding of Retal Media, programmatic media and paid search preferred * Experience in shopper marketing or consumer insights. * Understands the CPG industry * Ability to work in a dynamic, changing, matrix environment * Initiative: must demonstrate ability to provide value added analytical work based on own understanding of business needs/impactors vs just providing what is asked for * Integrity: provides objective point of view and ensures accuracy in details of their work/analysis * Communication: demonstrates confidence; able to make clear and concise presentations/recommendations to all levels of organization * Business Acumen: ability to understand overall business strategy and drivers; able to design and perform analytics to address business questions SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES * 3+ years' work experience in Shopper Marketing roles in the CPG industry * Strong analytical and data analysis skills * Excellent communication and presentation skills. * Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects. * Familiarity with digital marketing trends and tools. * Experience executing digital media through Retail Media Networks and third party vendors * Ability to work across the Microsoft office suite of tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Words, Teams) * Basic financial acumen * Microsoft office suite * Madrid, Scintilla and syndicated data experience preferred. * Excellent written and communication skills * Retail Media experience preferred * Sam's MAP and WMC experience preferred * Agency experience and/or agency management experience preferred It is our business imperative to remain a very inclusive workplace.
