Business Development Manager, Automotive Refinish

As a Business Development Manager, you will develop new opportunities and grows existing customer business in North America with regional multi-shop consolidators and large body shop accounts. You will report to the Senior Sales Manager. Your territory will cover New York to Northern New Jersey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Account Management: develop and implement an account management plan utilizing PPG resources (products, value services), emphasizing continuous improvement, business relations and value as key ingredients.
  • New Business Development: identify, pursue, negotiate, and plan with new accounts
  • Field Sales Development/Support: mentor sales staff to secure potential strong regional strategic accounts
  • Competitive Awareness: understand competitors, their offerings (products & services) and develop counter measures
  • Industry Awareness: maintain account target list with profiles; identify industry trends & develop initiatives to meet needs such trends may demand (e- commerce, insurance companies, supply direct)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • Minimum 5 years related experience.
  • Previous collision center experience is preferred.
