Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking an Admissions Officer for Mason Gross School of the Arts (
MGSA).
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
- Works closely with the Assistant Dean for Admissions and Enrollment to support MGSA recruitment and enrollment efforts.
- Serves as the lead Slate and Salesforce administrator for the Admissions Office, managing full application lifecycle from launch to close each cycle.
- Oversees application builds, updates, testing, troubleshooting, and ensures data integrity across systems.
- Manages scheduling functions within Slate for auditions, interviews, and campus visits.
- Manages an extensive schedule of all campus recruitment events including, and not limited to, auditions, admissions interviews, opening house events, individual tours, and on-campus high school visits.
- Serves as the direct point of contact for all prospective and admitted students, ensuring consistent communication and a seamless admissions experience.
- Collaborates with the admissions team on operational improvements, assists with reporting needs, and supports recruitment events and other office initiatives as needed.
- Reviews undergraduate and graduate admission applications, releases decisions in alignment with faculty recommendations, and ensures compliance with benchmarked guidelines and policies set by University Admissions Office and MGSA.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of experience in enrollment management, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and computer literacy.
- Understanding of application management systems.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with an understanding of the mission, vision and goals of MGSA, Rutgers University, and the role the tasks and responsibilities of this position play in the achievement of these goals.

Preferred Qualifications |
- Master's degree.
- Professional experience in academic admissions with extensive experience with Slate. Salesforce knowledge.
- Three years of experience in enrollment management.
