DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will oversee the creation of safety inspection and emissions training programs designed to certify personnel conducting official vehicle inspections. You will act as the training lead, ensuring effective communication and high-quality training initiatives related to Pennsylvania's Vehicle Inspection Programs. This involves collaborating with Department staff, educational institutions, and contracted companies to develop and update training materials and certification services. Your responsibilities will include researching and creating training content, serving as a liaison for training facilities, instructors, and participants, and supervising all associated entities to ensure compliance with program standards. Additionally, you will manage the statewide safety and emissions inspection certification programs, focusing on enhancing these programs by reviewing training materials, staying informed about vehicle technology advancements, identifying issues within Pennsylvania's inspection processes, and analyzing student performance data. Based on your findings, you will make necessary adjustments to the certification programs and produce updated training resources. Instructor training will be conducted through train-the-trainer seminars, typically held off-site and may require overnight travel. Interested in learning more? - Full-time employment, 75 hours bi-weekly
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Travel and overtime as needed
- This position may be eligible for alternate work schedule (AWS)
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and bachelor's degree; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must possess a current PA Class C driver's license which is not under suspension.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
