Overview
Responsibilities
- Operate chiller plant consisting of (3) 450 ton centrifugal chillers
- Maintain all mechanical systems as required to ensure proper operation for cooling and heating
- Experienced in the overall installation and repair of package units and split systems
- Assist the Chief Engineer and Assistant Chief Engineer in maintenance and upkeep of the NYSE cooling plant, primarily regarding the HVAC and plumbing systems
- Maintain a consistent flow rate of the chilled and condenser water supply throughout the facilities
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned, such as bathroom calls, hot and cold calls
- Must be a self-starter, eager to learn, and a well-rounded team player
- Must be flexible to work overtime, weekends, holidays and swing shifts
- Shift is initially Sunday-Thursday, 3pm-11pm EDT
Knowledge and Experience
- College degree and or college courses preferred.
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a mechanic in related fields, such as HVAC or plumbing.
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools.
- Proficient communication skills.
- Ability to perform daily duties in a safe and professional manner and work as approved by the OSHA safety standards and procedures.
- Ability to work with, and lift 50lbs. Climbing of ship ladders, extension ladders, and working at heights in various weather conditions.
- Must be able to crawl and work in small, confined spaces for extended periods of time.
- The ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without 'giving out' or fatiguing.
- The ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs.

- S12/S13/S14 Combination Standpipe/Sprinkler
- CFC Universal Certificate
New York Base Salary Range
The expected base salary for this role, if located in New York, is between $78,529 - 101,836 USD. The base salary range does not include Intercontinental Exchange's incentive compensation. While we provide this range as general guidance, at ICE we compensate employees based on the skillset and experience of the individual.
