Department of Plant Science & Technology Job Description
The objective of this research position is to work in the field, where the individual will be responsible for establishing & maintaining research plots, (planting, pest management, and harvesting), applying fertilizers and pesticides, building custom research equipment, as well as operating and maintaining sophisticated, complex agricultural field equipment. The successful candidate will collect and prepare plant and soil samples for laboratory analysis while developing working relationships with internal and external parties. Accurate record-keeping of data is essential, as is the ability to participate in a variety of research procedures, analyze and interpret results of studies, reports, and other data sources. The individual must be skilled in solving problems and explaining complex information to others in a manner that is understandable. In short, this position requires a confident and professional approach to technical project tasks. Shift
Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary. Anticipated Hiring Range
The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $52,915.20 - $68,500.00 annually. Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
