Shift Timing (Day/ Evening/ Night): Day

Working Hours: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. || Lunch period: 1 Hour (Unpaid)

Job Description:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of assistive listening devices and equipment.
  • Provide guidance on the selection and use of assistive listening devices and equipment tailored to consumer needs and preferences.
  • Assess and recommend assistive technology for the Equipment Distribution Program.
  • Conduct demonstrations to exhibit various equipment and assistive listening technology options available to consumers, and provide guidance on proper use and maintenance.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on assistive listening technologies and equipment located in DDHH's demonstration center.
  • Provide ongoing technical support and assistance to consumers, including troubleshooting issues with devices and equipment.
  • Perform comprehensive assessments and evaluations on safety equipment in educational settings, residential facilities, private residences, and other relevant environments.
  • Prepare written reports regarding equipment needs, providing equipment recommendations and resources for securing equipment.
  • Develop educational materials and resources on hearing loss awareness, assistive technologies, and safety equipment.
  • Coordinate outreach and provide presentations on DDHH's Programs and Services.
  • Conduct sensitivity trainings in educational settings, nursing and residential facilities, and other settings as requested.
  • Attend workshops and conferences to expand knowledge and keep up to date on the latest advancements in assistive listening technology and safety equipment.
  • Screen and process applications for the Division's programs.
  • Collaborate and maintain positive relationships with invested partners and vendors.
  • Maintain confidential files, as required by state and federal laws.
  • Consult with consumers, providers, and other organizations, as needed.
