Job Description Summary

The Game Day Creative Video Freelancer is an hourly, part-time position that will assist the Creative staff with game day needs to create the Best Fan Experience in North Carolina.

Job Description

Essential Functions:

  • Serve as a member of the Creative team on athletic game days and throughout the week for various sports to carry out game-specific creative video needs and responsibilities.

  • Sport responsibilities include Women's Soccer, Field Hockey, Cross Country, Track and Field, and assistance with football and all other sports as available.

  • Set up technology prior to the event needed to cover the game properly.

  • Assist in the capture of pregame and in-game moments with the team.

  • Manage cards and data archiving during the event.

  • Edit quick turn video content needed for social media and in-venue elements during and immediately following the event.

  • Game day arrival time will be two to three hours prior to each non-football event, unless otherwise noted. Football game days may require arrival up to five hours prior to kickoff.

  • Ensures all assigned tasks are carried out in compliance with department, University, ACC, and NCAA rules and regulations.

  • Standing / walking for up to six hours.

  • Lifting and moving items up to 75 pounds.

  • Possess visual acuity to operate golf carts, equipment, manage crowds and to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned.

  • Physically and mentally capable of performing CPR

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in videography, communications, social Media or related field

  • Experience in operating Sony camera equipment

  • Experience in utilizing the Adobe Creative Suite

  • Relevant experience in creative video and social media.

Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information

  • Highly organized and ability to balance multiple projects and deadlines

  • Strong initiative to solve problems

  • Extraordinary focus on customer service

  • Willing to work in a team atmosphere where expectations are set and managed while giving staff flexibility to do their assigned task

  • Ability to work long hours including nights and weekends.
