*This a 100% on-site position. Job Summary
The Representative I, Benefits serves as a key resource for employees; providing guidance, resolving escalated issues, and deliver professional, courteous, accurate, and timely responses to employees and leaders. Collaborates with other teams and departments to resolve employee issues. Assist the benefits team in projects such as Open Enrollment, vendor invoicing, employee inquiries, and data updates.
Essential Functions:
- Assist employees coming into the Employee Resource Center. Answer general HR questions and concerns. Direct employees to the appropriate department when needed. Partner with different departments such as payroll, LOA, and our human resources business partners, to navigate concerns and bring resolutions for the employee. (50%)
- Assist in the administration of the employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, COBRA, disability, life insurance, and retirement plans. Address employee inquiries regarding benefits, enrollments, status changes, and other related questions. Identify process gaps and opportunities in benefits administration and suggest improvements. (30%)
- Collaborate with the benefits team during Open Enrollment and assist with project planning, communications, and employee education. Assist in other projects as needed. (20%)
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required
Work Experience:
- Less than 1 year HR Benefits experience required
- 1-3 years project coordination, process improvement or administrative experience in healthcare or related field preferred
Licenses: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of health, retirement and welfare programs.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills to deal effectively with employees and physicians.
- Ability to understand benefit contracts and plan documents.
- Ability to compose correspondence to employees, and/or facilitate group discussions; and solve practical problems.
- Ability to reconcile insurance invoices accurately and timely.
- Ability to comply with state and federal policies and regulations, such as COBRA, ACA, Section 125, HIPPA, FMLA, and retirement.
- Ability and flexibility required to work independently with others, establish priorities and coordinate several activities at one time.
- Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of HRIS.

Salary $22.06 - $30.88 / hr
