As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Buyer to join our Procurement & Supply Chain team. This individual will manage the full procurement lifecycle for materials, components, and services in support of Department of Defense (DoD) contracts. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of federal acquisition regulations, experience working with DCMA oversight, and a proven ability to manage supplier relationships within a highly regulated environment. You will collaborate across internal teams and with external partners to ensure timely, compliant, and cost-effective procurement execution.

Job Description:
  • Oversee cradle-to-grave procurement processes in full compliance with FAR, DFARS, ITAR, and company policies
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders and subcontracts aligned with DoD contract requirements
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to contract terms
  • Collaborate with government personnel and DCMA representatives on inspections, reporting, and contract oversight
  • Interpret and communicate contract clauses and quality requirements to suppliers
  • Conduct supplier evaluations, manage corrective actions, and support continuous improvement efforts
  • Support proposal and pricing activities by obtaining supplier quotes and contributing to cost analysis
  • Maintain accurate and audit-ready procurement documentation, including for CPSR reviews
  • Partner with internal teams across engineering, quality assurance, and program management to align procurement efforts with project goals
  • Monitor industry and regulatory updates to ensure ongoing compliance
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field (equivalent experience may be considered)
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management with a focus on DoD and DCMA contracting
  • Strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and related federal procurement regulations
  • Proven experience interfacing with DCMA and supporting government contract compliance
  • Proficiency with ERP systems such as Deltek Costpoint, Oracle, or SAP
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and supplier relationship management skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
