Office Support Specialist

Monday - Friday 8:15 - 4:30

Under the supervision of the Director for Counseling Services, the Office Support Specialist is the first point of contact for clients either in person, by phone, or via email. This position is responsible for triaging client needs to the appropriate person, scheduling appointments, checking clients in and out, collecting payments, scanning items into the Electronic Medical Record ( EMR), and setting clients up for virtual visits, in addition to ordering and stocking office supplies. Assists with maintaining a positive, welcoming, and efficient work environment.

Managing client needs when they present in person, over the phone or via email-requires knowledge of EMR system for scheduling and documents. Requires knowledge of HIPAA and FERPA.
Supporting clerical needs of the Counseling department
Entering/scanning records in EMR, processing requests for records for personal or ongoing care needs
Other duties as assigned

Any candidate selected for this position will be required to undergo a pre-employment criminal background check as mandated by state law.

Experience with customer service or higher educations is preferred.
