FPGA Design Engineer

Security Clearance:

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated FPGA Design Engineer to join our dynamic team developing cutting-edge digital hardware solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, integration, and validation of FPGA-based systems, with an emphasis on Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC or similar platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-performance, reliable products across a range of low- to high-volume applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop FPGA architectures using Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC or similar FPGAs.

  • Use Vivado or equivalent FPGA design tools to implement and verify VHDL or similar hardware description language code.

  • Achieve design closure by meeting stringent area, power, and timing constraints.

  • Integrate complex systems including embedded hard/soft processors and a combination of commercial and custom IP cores.

  • Collaborate with systems, hardware, and software teams to define and refine FPGA requirements and support hardware/software integration.

  • Conduct comprehensive timing analysis and closure of full FPGA designs.

  • Support prototype and production builds, from concept through volume production.

  • Manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Hands-on experience with Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC or similar FPGA platforms.

  • Proficient in Vivado and VHDL (or equivalent tools and languages).

  • Strong understanding of digital design principles and FPGA architecture.

  • Proven ability to close timing on complex FPGA designs.

  • Familiarity with integrating embedded processors (ARM, MicroBlaze, etc.) and third-party IP.

  • Experience in both prototype and high-volume product development.

  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills in hardware/software integration environments.

Job Requirements

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or Science or Engineering or Mathematics.
  • A current active Secret clearance.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with Zync UltraScale+ MPSoC or similar FPGAs, Vivado or similar tools; VHDL or similar languages.

Preferred Skills:

  • Master's Degree
  • Experience implementing cutting edge FPGA designs and achieving design closure to meet area, power, and timing constraints
  • Ability to work with cross functional teams as needed to define and refine FPGA design requirements.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle numerous jobs simultaneously.
