Ellwood Crankshaft Group is the world's leading manufacturer of large, one-of-a-kind, multiple-throw crankshafts. ECG's products and services include crankshafts and eccentrics used in mechanical stamping presses, reciprocating air and gas compressors, reciprocating pumps, engines, mechanical shears, rock crushers, homogenizers and other miscellaneous applications. ECG services the locomotive, shipping, mechanical press, oil and gas and compression markets.

ECM is currently hiring for the Maintenance Engineer position. Ellwood Crankshaft and Machine (ECM) has an opening for a full-time Maintenance Engineer in Hermitage, PA. This salaried-exempt position will report to the Maintenance Director. While based in Hermitage, PA, this position will be expected to go to our other ECG facilities as needed. The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:



  1. Maintain a safe work environment by assuring plant organization, housekeeping, safe work practices, and by eliminating safety hazards and at-risk behaviors
  2. Develop, justify, and manage shutdown and major repair projects. Develop plans, schedules, budgets, and implement projects utilizing both in-house and/or contracted labor.
  3. Assist the engineering department by supporting new equipment installations including justification, budgeting, planning and procuring key spares, installation, and start-
  4. Troubleshooting of all types of mechanical systems and components
  5. Technical resource for the maintenance group for emergency breakdowns involving mechanical systems
  6. Assist in procurement of emergency repair parts, and key spares
  7. Work with ECM departmental managers to maximize production of critical equipment by improving mechanical reliability
  8. Ensure availability and organized filing of maintenance related documents, such as manuals, drawings, etc.
  9. Perform all other necessary duties, responsibilities, and projects, as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS:



  1. Four-year Engineering degree preferably in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  2. Minimum two (2) years working within a maintenance department preferred.
  3. Solid knowledge and experience with hydraulic systems
  4. Knowledgeable about the maintenance function; CMMS, and PdM tools and procedures
  5. Knowledgeable of AutoCAD and Solid Works
  6. Strong analytical skills and demonstrated problem-solving abilities
  7. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office programs
  8. Excellent organizational skills and ability to balance multiple projects while performing daily duties
  9. Must be results oriented with a strong desire to succeed. Internally driven
  10. Solid verbal and written communication skills
  11. Ability to work well with a team while also working independently
  12. Willing to work schedules as deemed necessary based on business needs


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:



  1. Working knowledge of CMMS Systems
  2. Experience in reading blueprints
  3. Experience with machining
  4. Experience with machine tool installations and upgrades
  5. Experience with electrical systems
  6. Experience with CNC programming
  7. Proficient with Microsoft Project
