Position Summary
The Endocrine, Diabetes, and Obesity Clinical Research Unit (EnDO CRU) is designed to support and conduct clinical research studies within the division of Endocrinology. The primary goal of the EnDO CRU is to provide a controlled and safe environment for conducting clinical research while ensuring the safety and well-being of study participants. This involves a team of research professionals (providers, nurses, study coordinators, and research assistants).
Research assistants play a critical role in supporting the work of researchers and scientists by providing the skills, expertise, and assistance needed to carry out research projects successfully. Specifically, the EnDO CRU Research Assistant's duties are, but not limited to:
* Processing human biological samples and package specimens for shipment
* Prepping for research visits and assisting coordinators with ECG, survey administration, investigational product management, scheduling participants, and participant visit flow
* Maintaining inventory of study materials, laboratory supplies, and office supplies for the unit
* Performing data entry and research-related administrative tasks
* Screening electronic medical records for recruitment of participants in clinical trials
*Communicating with study sponsor
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
