Additional Functions:

  • The Furniture Fixtures & Equipment (FF&E) Coordinator is responsible for providing support to the Construction Purchasing (CP) department under direction of the CP Manager and Planners. This role manages and assists in performing administrative and logistical functions to support the FF&E process on construction projects.
  • Acts as the primary contact within the department to effectively develop or maintain data in FF&E templates, standards documents, project specific lists and other reports.
  • Acts as the primary contact for operations of CP staging space and supports workflow with 3rd party warehousing vendors.
  • Maintains CP surplus inventory and miscellaneous FFE items to be stored in bulk.

Evaluates suppliers and product quality, negotiates contracts, and purchases for assigned product groups. Obtains quality products at a competitive price, substitutes similar items, develops bid packages for purchases and services, and negotiates firm pricing with vendors while maximizing the Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) contracts.

  • Conducts market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate quality, competitively priced products, equipment, and services.
  • Collaborates with other departments to forecast demand and plan purchasing activities.
  • Resolves any issues or disputes with suppliers to maintain positive relationships and ensure timely delivery of goods and services, expediting orders as necessary.
  • Tracks and analyzes purchasing data to identify areas for cost savings and process improvements.

Education Requirement:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or equivalent, required.
  • Courses in purchasing, business law, economics, accounting, or marketing, preferred.
