This position involves collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and reporting complex enterprise data while sustaining key processes and dashboards. This particular position will work at two separate institutions, GateWay CC and South Mountain CC. As a subject matter expert in college and district databases, metric methodology, and data reporting/visualization, you will support customers in understanding and using data for critical, institutional decision-making. This position also focuses on ad hoc requests, compliance, and strategic data reporting. You'll have the opportunity to use your expertise in developing complex queries using SQL, Tableau, and other modern tools to support enterprise-wide analysis. In this role, you will create compelling and effective data visualizations and insights that drive informed decision-making across the college. Essential Functions 30% - Designs and builds interactive data visualizations and dashboards using Tableau to support data-driven decision-making at South Mountain CC and GateWay CC. Creates process documentation of new and existing dashboards. 20% - Develops complex SQL queries to extract and integrate data from multiple relational databases, ensuring accurate and efficient data. 20% - Leads complex research projects, analyzing and interpreting enterprise data to support strategic decision-making. Prepares comprehensive reports, visualizations, and presentations while managing projects. 15% - Serves as a subject-matter expert for enterprise data by providing professional-level staff support, consultation, and assistance to committees, departments, and employees, which may include performing research, authoring documents, making presentations, and providing technical assistance; develops and delivers workshops and training; researches and implements industry standards, trends, best practices, and emerging technologies for the work unit. 15% - Performs work to support and advance the mission of the college. Serves as department liaison for assigned work teams and committees; prepares reports to comply with reporting requirements from state and federal agencies; plans, organizes, assigns, supervises, reviews, and evaluates the work of staff. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in business statistics, educational studies, business administration or directly related field and four (4) years of professional-level experience in research and analysis that includes responsibility for coordinating projects and programs. Two (2) years of senior-level or lead experience may be required for some assignments. OR Associates Degree from a regionally accredited institution in business statistics, educational studies, business administration or directly related field and six (6) years of professional-level experience in research and analysis that includes responsibility for coordinating projects and programs. Two (2) years of senior-level or lead experience may be required for some assignments. OR High School Diploma/GED and eight (8) years of professional-level experience in research and analysis that includes responsibility for coordinating projects and programs. Two (2) years of senior-level or lead experience may be required for some assignments Desired Qualifications A. Master's degree preferably in Data/Information Management, Computer Science, Statistics or related area. B. Two (2) years or more experience building data visualizations and reports using business intelligence software (Tableau, Power BI, etc.). C. Two (2) years or more experience working with statistical software (SAS, SPSS, R, JASP, etc.). D. One (1) year or more experience writing and editing SQL. E. One (1) year or more experience analyzing and presenting complex research results to a diverse audience, either with written reports or verbal presentations preferably in Higher Education. F. Two (2) years or more experience using Qualtrics survey platform to design and administer large surveys. G. Experience conducting institutional research or other data analysis positions preferably in Higher Education. Special Working Conditions
