DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Human Resource Analyst 2, you will provide employee relations services to management and employees at SCI Huntingdon and Smithfield. Specific duties will entail providing consultation, union grievance processing, investigation of disciplinary actions, and training management and staff regarding employee relations issues. Within this role, you will be responsible for interpreting and applying various bargaining agreement language, as well as scheduling and running all labor management meetings for nine different unions at both facilities. Excellent organizational skills are essential in order to regularly review and track information, prepare documentation, and attend and testify for management at unemployment compensation (UC), Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission (PHRC), and civil service hearings. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days biweekly, upon successful completion of the 6-month probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Huntingdon.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Human Resource Analyst 1 or Equal Opportunity Specialist 1 (Commonwealth job titles or equivalent Federal Government job titles, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Two years of analytical experience that includes one year of professional human resource or equal opportunity experience, and a bachelor's degree; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
