Duties & Responsibilities

POPULATION SPECIFIC CARE
No Direct Patient Care

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Learns to inspect and test malfunctioning medical or related equipment, following the direction of senior biomedical equipment technicians and manufacturers' specifications and using test and analysis instruments.
2. Learns to test or calibrate components or equipment, following the direction of senior biomedical equipment technicians and manufacturers' manuals and troubleshooting techniques, using hand tools, power tools, or measuring devices.
3. Learns to performs repairs and regularly scheduled preventive maintenance on medical equipment for adherence to safety and performance standards.
4. Keeps records of maintenance, repair, and required updates of equipment. Documents inspections, repairs and other technical activities per department policies and standards of practice.
5. Performs preventive maintenance or service, such as cleaning, lubricating, or adjusting equipment.
6. Tests, evaluates, and classifies excess or in-use medical equipment and determine serviceability, condition, and disposition, in accordance with regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Degrees
    • High School diploma or equivalent

Salary Information
Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.

Hourly Range: $28.33 to $42.50
