ABOUT THE JOB: The Nurse, Staff II Core Charge UH has the primary function of direct patient care, combined with assisting with day-to-day operations during the hours of their scheduled shifts to maintain high standards of patient care and safety. The Core Charge Nurse will function during their assigned shift as a clinical resource, assist with immediate clinical and quality needs, and assist with the logistics of patient movement. DETAILED DESCRIPTION: Provides clinical patient care within the scope of a Registered Nurse, including assessment of condition, goal setting, and nursing actions to meet the physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs of the patient.
Facilitates effective communication between nursing staff, interdisciplinary team members, patients, and families.
Participates in unit meetings, committees, and projects to contribute to unit
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Missouri Board of Nursing RN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state RN. When
PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met with or without reasonable accommodation. The performance of these physical demands is an essential function of the job. This position is very active and requires ambulating, reaching, and moving objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs. This role also routinely comes into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses. This position is in a health care facility open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
