Wieland is hiring a Expeditor. The Expeditor will be responsible for for expediting customer and vendor orders throughout the building in addition to developing processes to ensure proper documentation and communication of order statuses. Additional tasks include communicating with the Sales, Purchasing and Operations Teams to ensure customer orders will be delivered on-time and with the utmost professionalism.

This role is located in Texas City, TX and will be fully on-site.

Expeditor Responsibilities:

Follow up on all order acknowledgements or freight forwarders for shipments
• Monitor all open orders with major vendors
• Work closely and assist Sales, Quality Control and the Warehouse with any expediting issues
• Maintain spreadsheets with up-to-date order statuses
• Expedite all orders and issue status reports when necessary
• Relaying departmental needs between Sales staff and Operations staff
• Working with operations management to identify and remove bottlenecks in the process
• Additional responsibilities may be added by Operations Manager

Expeditor Qualifications:

• Proficiency with computers and data entry
• Fluent English language skills, both speaking and writing
• Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadline
• Strong relationship management skills
• Strong attention to detail (critical skill)
• Ability to communicate professionally with customers, coworkers and management
• Ability to work as part of a team and offer assistance to teammates when necessary
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
• Very good with using a variety of systems, learning them and technology in the workplace
• Excellent use of Excel and have reporting knowledge that can be helpful in certain situations
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions
• Frequent use of standard office equipment (computer, keyboard, mouse, telephone, copier, etc.)
• Production and office environment with daily administrative duties.
• Extended periods of sitting or standing at desk with a computer.
