DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, it is essential to possess an in-depth knowledge of the Motor Vehicle Code, along with a thorough understanding of the procedures and regulations established by the Department of Transportation regarding vehicle registration and licensing. Your duties will encompass the review and management of a variety of applications related to motor vehicles and driver licenses. This includes processing renewals and replacements for driver licenses, issuing occupational limited licenses, and providing non-driver photo identification cards. Furthermore, you will be tasked with updating medical certifications for commercial driver licenses, facilitating the restoration of driver licenses, and addressing requests for paid information or refunds.
Moreover, your responsibilities will extend to the examination and processing of ownership transfer applications for motor vehicles, the issuance of various types of registration plates, and the handling of requests for vehicles that are imported or exported. You will also be involved in correcting odometer readings, issuing salvage vehicle titles, managing the renewal and updating of motor vehicle registrations, and overseeing lienholder information as well as registration suspensions. - Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
- Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.

- This position requires the selected candidate to undergo and pass a Fingerprint and Name-Based Criminal History Check prior to employment.
