OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANYFox TV Stations FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network's national content. JOB DESCRIPTION

WFLD is seeking a seasoned Newscast Director/Technical Director to join our dynamic production team. We produce seven and a half hours of live news daily using a fully automated control room. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in production automation systems, with a preference for experience with Sony ELC.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct live newscasts using a production automation system.
• Operate and manage the Sony 9000 switcher and ChyronHego tools (Camio, Axis & Luci).
• Utilize robotic cameras and iNews for efficient production workflow.
• Direct weekly political and sports shows, promos, satellite interviews, and pre-produced segments.
• Floor directing as needed to ensure smooth production operations.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience directing news or related content.
• Strong technical directing background, particularly in an automated control room and studio environment.
• Proven ability to lead and thrive under pressure in the fast-paced environment of live local news.
• Experience with Sony ELC and familiarity with Sony 9000 switcher, ChyronHego tools, robotic cameras, and iNews is highly desirable.
• Experience in manual switching preferred.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $57.78 per hour. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
