What does a great Product Manager do? The Deem Product Manager is responsible for the Product strategy and vision and will actively manage the prioritization of the product roadmap for the components of the Deem corporate booking tool, collaborating and working with the respective product stakeholders to support the business strategy. Stakeholders include the customer experience team, sales and account management, engineering, marketing and the senior leadership team. The goal is to ensure that the solution delivers the target Return on Investment (ROI) using tools such as anticipated profit and loss, customer engagement, total cost of ownership (TCO), and other factors for the platform over specified time horizons, continually prioritizing its features to the marketplace needs. Responsibilities include:
- Ensures clarity on product performance against key objectives (effectiveness, usage, satisfaction), actively managing product development/management activities against the agreed plan, managing the performance against the agreed KPIs, KR and the proposed ROI.
- Works in concert with stakeholders on market analysis, defining the target customer and what problems they have and the needs the product will address, developing understanding of how the product competes and what makes it unique.
- Executes the product roadmap, facilitating collaboration with internal stakeholders to deliver the product plans and help drive the anticipated value agreed as part of the planning process.
- Collaborates with the technical product managers to ensure new work is brought into the backlog and prioritized appropriately.
- Engages with customers to develop a deep understanding of their customers' needs and business processes; communicates the product roadmap, actively pursue feedback.
- Supports compliance with industry mandates and for executing on the delivery of these.
- Coordinates and leads the governance of the activities associated with the product, continually reviewing the interdependencies across the platform and scrutinizing delivery against the plan. Has content authority for the program backlog and is accountable for accepting features as complete.
- Researches, staying up to date with market, technology and competitor trends through the appropriate use of tools, resources and stakeholders to qualify new product pipeline opportunities, necessary for continued competitiveness. Makes data driven decisions to test hypotheses.
- Ensures customers, functional and market experts are integrated into the product management process by agreeing resource requirements with wider product stakeholders.
Who we are looking for in this role:
- Minimum 4 years working in product, consultancy or business analysis.
- Expert understanding of technical composition, deep functional product knowledge.
- Deep understanding of tech and travel industry trends and the ability to translate this knowledge into new product ideas.
- Knowledge and implementation of formal product management techniques, tools and principles and Agile delivery methodology.
- Comfortable with data and using data to drive decisions.
- Experience in planning and delivering new products and services (minimum 3 years).
- Experience of working with and sound understanding of PDLC, Product Management principles, methodologies and tools in an Agile environment.
- Extensive knowledge across business and product/technology organizations.
- Adept in communicating technical concepts, scheduling trade-offs and championing new ideas with tech and non-tech stakeholders.
- Portraying passion to motivate others to build great products and create a shared vision across a multi disciplined and/or virtual team.
- Strong process and governance experience; capacity to produce documentation in line with Agile practices and artefacts adopted by Travelport.
- Professionally represents the product through compelling product demos internally and externally.
- Degree in computer science, business or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to convincingly express the connections between larger business goals and feature backlog items for alignment with Product strategy.
- Communicate effectively on the purpose and vision of the product roadmap to the wider delivery team and their role in delivering or contributing ot the business outcomes.
- Capacity to seek consensus and agreement across multiple stakeholders, bringing divers opinions together.
- Expertise in usage of relevant tools for product management requirements such as Jira or Aha!
- Adept at using data for analysis and to drive decisions.
- Deep understanding of tech trends and travel industry.

In this capacity the individual will define Product Roadmaps for each Product Line within the company, work with key stake holders to identify and prioritize projects, communicate all PMO activities across the company and be the primary person updating Executive staff and Board on all strategic program initiatives.
