CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

Provide label review support for products across the Performance Coatings Group businesses applying knowledge of labeling regulations and company labeling policies while ensuring a high degree of accuracy and quality. Provide internal and external product stewardship support to customers and business stakeholders.

(1) Label Review:



  • Complete label reviews for compliance purposes in a timely manner to meet service level requirements for the business label review process
  • During review, ensure labeling inconsistencies, errors, omissions, etc. are elevated in a timely manner.
  • Work with product stewards to review label concerns and issues within the team to ensure consensus.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems concerning data, compliance, or both.
  • Work with affected business contact to resolve issues associated with product labeling.


(2) General Stewardship Support:



  • Work with business product stewards to provide general support to collect product data, aggregate reports, etc.
  • Collect, aggregate and summarize data across the affected portfolios.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

FORMAL EDUCATION:

Required:



  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in one of the physical sciences or engineering.


Preferred:



  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Sciences, or similar


KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

Required:



  • 0-1+ years' experience within chemical or coatings industry background in materials and chemical regulations


Preferred:



  • 2 years' experience in regulatory affairs such as OSHA labeling and safety data sheets
  • Coatings industry experience


TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Required:



  • Knowledge of basic chemistry
  • Attention to detail


Preferred:



  • Knowledge of OSHA chemical regulations and hazard communication.
