Desired Skills and Experience
The team is seeking a highly qualified and energetic Software Engineer who will be responsible for working on the development of scalable, resilient, and fault-tolerant transactional and distributed systems. The successful candidate will be responsible both for design and hands-on implementation. Desired skills:

* Highly skilled with designing and developing scalable, resilient, and fault-tolerant transactional and distributed systems in enterprise production environments
* Experience with applying sophisticated statistical techniques to understand behavior of large scale distributed systems, build and benchmark metrics, and forecast future performance
* Highly skilled in Java or C in a Unix/Linux environment, with an understanding of modern object-oriented programming techniques and design patterns
* Hands-on experience with modern technologies, patterns and tools related to advanced analytics
* Experience using telemetry and metrics to drive operational excellence
* Ability to learn quickly and deliver high-quality code in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment
* A meticulous and detailed oriented software engineer, responsible for writing one's own functional and unit tests and help review and test teammates' code
* Familiar with Agile development methodology and committed to continual improvement of team performance
* Effective communication, strong leadership skills, team player who is capable of mentoring and being mentored by others
* Inventive and creative; on task and able to deliver incrementally and on time
* Strong experience with public cloud, especially AWS and GCP.
* Strong Object Oriented programming skills (Python is absolute must)
* Experience with data warehouse, data lake and big data
* Good communication skills to explain models and algorithms to stakeholders

You should have 8+ years of professional experience, or MS in a relevant academic field and 6+ years of professional experience. Experience with relational databases is a big plus.

Highly Desired Requirements include experience with:

* Spark
* Trino
* Airflow
* Jupyter notebook
