Job Summary

The mission of Corewell Health is compassionate, extraordinary care every day. This position will serve as a Database Technician. The Corewell Health Database Technician will be focused on oversight of all aspects of Neuroscience data for inpatient and outpatient services. The Database Technician will partner with the Director of Neuroscience and physician leaders to analyze Neuroscience data to improve departmental operations and execute strategic initiatives. The individual is responsible for maintaining the comprehensive stroke center database and analysis of other clinical areas as assigned by physician and administrative leaders. Key responsibilities include supporting department accreditation, compliance, and validation of data. In addition, responsible for supporting operations and strategic initiatives.

Essential Functions
  • Enter data into database that is required by various programs throughout the service line. Data entry will be from EPIC, One-chart, or other data sources.
  • Assist program coordinators in data collection, audits and program preparation.
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets, graphs, reports and databases related to performance measures and department programs.
  • Develop presentations for physician and administrative leaders using Microsoft Office Products.
  • Review discrepancies in data received, request clarification and advise clinical team of issues related to data for further analysis.
  • As assigned, conduct patient follow up communication.
  • Oversee day to day maintenance of assigned databases.
Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree Healthcare/Business Administration or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word.

Preferred

  • Working knowledge of website.
