A Strategic Account Executive Kroger job in Cincinnati, OH is available at Ste. Michelle Wine Estates (SMWE). As a Strategic Account Executive, you will be responsible for achieving overall sales goals and managing the day-to-day selling activities within the assigned Kroger divisions. You will champion multi-functional internal resources to successfully implement brand strategies at Kroger and develop a strong rapport with distributor partners to ensure marketplace execution of pricing targets and retail programs.

Strategic Account Executive Kroger job responsibilities include:



  • Execute/drive company plans to achieve desired results for depletion and POD goals.
  • Communicate and sell company brand plans/objectives, sales, and marketing programs.
  • Collaborate with marketing to create/implement programs in order to drive in-store programing.
  • Ensure proper tracking for programing, planning and distribution.
  • Develop strong business relationships to become a preferred supplier and the 'go-to' partner for category information and opportunities for regional Kroger buyers.
  • Deliver clear, compelling, and professional presentations tailored to buyer needs.
  • Confidently present to diverse audiences including senior-level buyers, adapting tone and approach as needed.
  • Knowledge of specific brands, types, sizes and estimated sales trends within the Wine category for SMWE brands and primary competitors.
  • Prepare forecasts for budgets and depletions for all brands annually and update on an as needed basis throughout the year.
  • Update SMWE executive management team on results of presentations, customer meetings, planning calendars, and program calendars.
  • Communicate to VP, Sr. Director, Managing Director, Senior State Manager or State Manager and RVP to ensure initiatives are aligned and executed at the local level.
  • Fiscal responsibility for assigned budgets including departmental and direct spending.
  • Oversee National retail pricing to ensure brand standards are within guidelines. Complete understanding of how to create, maintain and negotiate suggested pricing.
  • Become the point person with distributor account executives to align goals and expectations for sales numbers, programming, and distribution in assigned accounts.
  • Attend applicable trade events and customer events. Involvement with industry trade organizations to develop relationships with key decision makers at major customers


Position Requirements:



  • Highschool diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree with major in Business or Analytics-related field preferred
  • Minimum 4+ years in Sales in the Adult Beverage (Beer, Wine, or Spirits) or CPG Food & Beverage industry required.
  • Kroger account experience required with in-depth knowledge of retailer's systems (Retail Execution, Advanced Insights, etc.)
  • Detail-oriented with strong communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated and team-oriented with the ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency with MS Office with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Proficiency with IRI, Nielsen and other industry tools
  • Home based with moderate travel (25-40%) calling on account and spending time in trade with distributor partners. Position will require nights and weekends for special events and customer outings.
  • History of responsible use of alcohol and other appropriate conduct, as well as fitness to be licensed, permitted, and/or certified by state and/or local regulatory bodies.



Your Compensation:

$106,887 - $138,963/yr. based upon relevant experience.
