Now is your chance as Hearth & Home Technologies is hiring aManufacturing Engineerin Mt Pleasant, IA. This position has core hours of Monday through Thursday, 6:00AM - 4:20PM.
A successful Manufacturing Engineer will impact the business by:
  • Managingsmall to large scale projects to achieve timely improvements to SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) metrics.
  • Drivefacility's lean culture by supporting business process improvements through Continuous Improvement events.
  • Assessand eliminatesafetyrisksin the manufacturing environment and drive improvements to ergonomicsthroughout the production process.
  • Establish production run rates, balance standard work, create smooth flow of material and finishedproduct.
  • Improve product qualityby building quality control and mistake-proofing into the manufacturing process.
  • Drive cost reduction through improved labor efficiency, improved material utilization, reduced defect rates
  • Implement product changes through ECO process and support new product launches.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree inManufacturingEngineeringor Related Field
  • 4 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite, primarily Excel, Project, Outlook; & AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles

  • Must be organized, ability to prioritize, and manage multiple tasksand projects.
  • Ability to influence and adapt to continuous improvement driven change.
  • Proven project leadership
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstratedability to solve complex problemsandthinkstrategically
  • Work with cross functional teams and leaders
  • Ability to exceed customerexpectations
Environment
  • Primarily in a Manufacturing facility with split focus between an office environment and production floor.
  • Periodic work outside core business hours may be required during key businessprojects
  • Less than 10%travel.
