ELECTRONICS TECH MAINTENANCE III - GDMT (W-TRS)

Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an Electronics Technician Maintenance III to join the ever-growing Phoenix Defense team. This position provides technical support for the Crew TADSS, Ground Maintenance Driver Trainers (GMDT) devices under the Warfighter-Training Readiness Solutions Program (W-TRS).

Responsibilities:

* The Electronics Technician Maintenance III position will perform all functions required to maintain and repair electronic TADSS and equipment, including a variety of devices

* Performs preventative maintenance IAW technical guidelines and equipment specifications ensuring proper functionality and safe operating conditions

* Applies advanced technical knowledge to solve routine electrical, mechanical, and computer issues by interpreting. manufacturers' manuals or similar documents

* Performs inventory of spare/repair parts IAW contractual guidelines

* Capture and records accurate maintenance history ensuring unique corrective measures for work orders and repair are annotated into the Management Information System (MIS)

* Applies advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems

* Ensuring that all paperwork and reports are completed in a timely and accurate manner

* Reads and interprets schematic drawings and diagrams required to perform maintenance

* This position may require travel to other installations and other WTRS locations

Minimum Qualifications:

* Experience with the GDMT devices preferred

* Two-year degree and or certificate program in a technical field preferred

* Five to Seven years (5-7) experience with electronics testing/troubleshooting

* Basic computer skills minimum of four years (4) experience

* Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Linux and Unix operating systems

* Must be able to obtain/maintain a valid driver's license and On-Post driving privileges

* Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment

Preferred Skills & Knowledge:

* Excellent written and oral communications skills, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, computer proficiency, and the ability to work under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment

* Strong analytical, problem-solving, customer service and decision-making skills

* Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
