DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Licensed Psychologist Director, you will provide oversight and direction of clinical services for the habilitation, rehabilitation, and social development of delinquent youth. Your duties will include analyzing, evaluating, and developing clinical treatment programs, as well as supervising supervisory and non-supervisory employees. In this position, you will direct clinical treatment services, interpret policies and regulations, and implement best practices and minimum standards. This role requires effective communication skills to consult with psychiatrists, physicians, and professional staff concerning diagnostic evaluation and therapeutic treatment programs. Additionally, you will participate in contract negotiations, facilitate clinical training sessions, and attend juvenile court and other hearings as necessary. Interested in learning more? - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. This may change based on operational needs.
- Travel is required.
- Overtime as needed
- Free parking!
- Work Location: You will work at the Eastern Region BJJS worksite that is closest to your home. Possible work locations are available in Luzerne, Montour, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Licensed Psychologist Manager (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Two years as a Licensed Psychologist, MH or a Psychologist (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration) one year of which must have been in a supervisory or administrative capacity; or
- Two years of experience as a licensed professional psychologist in the treatment of inmates or individuals with mental illness and/or mental retardation, one year of which must have been in a supervisory or administrative capacity.
Special Requirements:
- You must have possession of a current license to practice psychology as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of psychology or possession of a current license to practice psychology as issued by another state with licensure requirements acceptable to the Board. [Pennsylvania licensure must be obtained within one year of employment]
Other Requirements:
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
