We are looking for a skilled Patent Attorney to join our Cellular Standards Patenting team at Nokia Technologies. In this role, you will draft and prosecute Nokias invaluable patent applications in the field of 3GPP technologies together with seasoned external and/or internal patent attorneys globally. You will be in the forefront of protecting inventions contributed to 5G and 6G standard development with IP and collaborating with top researchers in the telecom industry. With your expertise in patent law and patent practice, you will contribute to building a world-leading, monetizable, patent portfolio in cellular standards area. This is a unique opportunity to join the Nokia team of patent professionals with a strong track record of high-quality patent asset used successfully in licensing and litigations globally.



  • Drafting patent applications inhouse and with external patent attorneys
  • Prosecuting globally the patent applications inhouse and with external patent attorneys
  • Evaluating filed patent applications on a regular basis
  • Reviewing claim charts and collaborating with others to ascertain the claim scope and mapping to standards
  • Collaborating closely with the inventor community


  • Master's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Physics/Mathematics or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with 3GPP related patent applications and prosecution
  • Qualified European Patent Attorney, US Patent Attorney/Agent or Indian Patent Agent

  • Extensive experience with 3GPP radio related technologies and standards
