This position offers:

  • Starting pay of $26.00/hr. up to top pay of $36.69/hr.*
  • Quarterly gainsharing bonus potential

*additional shift differential for off-shifts

What You Drive at DTNA

  • Perform physically demanding manufacturing duties including: repetitive processes, moderate to heavy lifting, the use of machinery, and following standardized work procedures
  • Perform a variety of complex tests on electronic components to determine functioning level and capacity
    • Diagnose smart brick failures
    • Trace communication cables
    • Diagnose bad drives, servo motors
    • Ability to read and edit code
  • Proven knowledge of equipment to aid in unit analysis and problem solving during equipment downtime
    • The ability to run machine controls for troubleshooting
    • Ability to test components, ballscrews, rails, spindles, etc for function
    • Able to pin point problem area
    • Reteach RGV positions
    • Grid Alignments on CNC's
    • Ballscrew Replacement
    • Scale Replacement
  • Build experimental systems and instruments using knowledge and experience
    • Building pressure blocks to check hydraulic pressure in systems
    • Building improvised communication cables
    • Write test program
    • Ballscrew analysis for proper function
  • Modify, improve, and recommend changes to new and existing systems
    • Everyday
    • Adjusting gains, offsets
    • Switching from scale to motor control
    • Changing out/modifying locating pins
    • Fabricate filter canister for replacement.
    • Modify machine door for proper function
  • Demonstrate efficiency of electronic principles when put into an unfamiliar situation
    • Ability to troubleshoot PLC controls
    • Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues on CNC's
    • Reading electrical prints
    • Tracing I/O signals
  • Provide guidance and instruction to other technicians
    • Lead in machine repairs
    • Teach other's or guide them through repairs
    • Help theorize machine issues with personal knowledge
    • Robotic training, programming, and maintenance
    • Ballbar Certified
  • Demonstrate the ability of procedure and schematic development
    • Read equipment drawings
    • Modify drawings when needed
    • Troubleshoot Coil/solenoid issues
  • Properly identify component parts by learning identification numbers
  • Adhere to established work rotation plan
  • Complete training matrix for each rotation position
  • Ability to read and understand Work Station Instructions
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Actively participate in improving work area in terms of safety, quality, attendance, productivity, suggestion activities, housekeeping, and throughput
  • Use computer systems to access company data associated with the assembly process, utilize drawings, bills of materials and specification sheets in both electronic and hard copy
  • Ability to operate hand tools and small power tools in a safe and nondestructive manner.

Knowledge You Should Bring

  • Ability to perform skilled maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, and physical structures
  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
  • Able to pass respirator fit test
  • Must be capable of repetitive hand manipulation, grasping and supporting power tools
  • Must be able to stand on concrete for entire shift with repetitive bending, stooping, twisting, reaching and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Must maintain a clean work area.
  • Meet quality standards and implement continuous improvement measures
  • Advanced knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures in the electronics filed
  • Ability to perform a wide variety of complex test on electronic components
  • Proven knowledge of equipment to aid in unit analysis and problem solving
  • Ability to work in a repetitive motion environment
  • Willingness to cross-train throughout the area
  • Ability to collaborate with a team and work independently
  • Ability to work overtime when necessary
  • Established satisfactory attendance record and performance rating
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Exceptional Candidates Might Have

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing (automotive/trucking) environment
  • Previous mechanical experience
  • Possess a Technical degree in related field and three years experience-preferred
  • High School Diploma / GED preferred and further college education a plus
