Desktop Support Technician Our client, a national healthcare company, is seeking an IT Support Technician to assist with ongoing Windows 11 migration efforts, PC refresh initiatives, and general operational support. This is a 6-month contract role ideal for an entry-level technician looking to grow in a collaborative, fast-paced IT environment. Location Franklin, TN 37067 Top Skills Needed to Be Considered * Strong understanding of Windows operating systems; familiarity with macOS is a plus. * Ability to efficiently diagnose and resolve technical issues. * Experience with screen imaging, PC refresh, and migration support is highly desirable. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to support executives and non-technical users on-site. * Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to high-quality service and support. Secondary Skills - Nice to Have * Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Windows 11). * Basic understanding of AV technologies and IT systems. * Experience with hardware installation/removal and basic network troubleshooting. Job Responsibilities People Skills * Follow specific instructions and guidelines with attention to detail. * Work as an enthusiastic and flexible team member capable of handling multiple tasks. * Maintain a self-motivated work ethic and organized approach to shift scheduling. Technical Skills * Provide basic support for Windows and macOS environments. * Perform basic network and AV equipment troubleshooting. * Support hardware installation, removal, and testing. * Assist with inventory management of IT equipment and peripherals. Physical Requirements * Ability to lift and transport heavy equipment (e.g., up to 90" TVs/monitors). * Set up, install, and remove media and AV support tools (e.g., speakers, cameras, racks). * Safely disassemble IT equipment and manage connections. * Sit or stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks as needed. Work Environment * Collaborative team environment with on-site support responsibilities. Business Drivers / Customer Impact * Support critical Windows 11 migration and PC refresh initiatives. * Provide operational support to ensure minimal disruption to end users. Reason for Opening * Backfill for a previous contractor who transitioned to a new role. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
