Positions in this family include those responsible functions in Behavioral Health such as Care Advocacy, Employee Assistance Programs and behavioral health consulting.

Positions in this function are responsible for providing counseling telephonically or onsite for behavioral health and employee assistance services. Includes assessment and triage, short-term problem resolution, and referrals. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field with two years post-degree experience in counseling, or a CEAP designation.

Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field with 2+ years post-degree experience in counseling, or a CEAP designation
  • Masters / Doctoral degree in a recognized behavioral health discipline
  • Current, unrestricted license at the independent practice level
  • 3+ years of experience in a behavioral health setting
  • Willing or ability to work onsite



The hourly range for this role is $28.61 to $56.06 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
