We are seeking a Residential Security Project Manager to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business Unit. As part of (SES) Strategic Business Unit you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services inclusive of intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, it systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers across high-growth markets.
Responsibilities
M.C. Dean San Jose is looking for Residential Security Project Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end management of individual residential security assessment and installation projects. This includes initial client consultation, close collaboration with design and network engineers, meticulous planning, budget and timeline adherence, coordination of field technicians and any necessary subcontractors, rigorous quality assurance, and final system commissioning and client handover. Candidates must demonstrate experience managing high-value residential construction, renovation, or complex technology installation projects. Candidates must exhibit meticulous attention to detail, the ability to work discreetly and respectfully within occupied private residences, strong problem-solving capabilities, and experience navigating the demands of exacting clients and the protection of luxury finishes. assisting with the overall administration, organization, and implementation of large electronic security systems and sustainment projects. Key Responsibilities may include:
- Preparing and managing project schedules, communication with customers and cross-functional teams, and overseeing on-time project completion.
- Responsible for the overall financial management of project(s) - cost proposals, projects costs analysis, project quotes and POs.
- Developing and managing projects Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), project lifecycle phases with resource planning and including proposals, solutions design, material procurement, installation and implementation plans, and project close out.
- Coordinating, scheduling and leading project kick-off meetings (PKOM) and
- regular project cadences with stakeholders and project team, daily project planning and on-site visits to collaborate with the team and oversee quality and timeliness of project tasks completion.
- Analyze production physical security systems performance and recommend improvements.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and statements of work (SOW).
- Perform and manage Pre-Installation, Test and Check-Out (PITCO) on systems designs and equipment in a lab/pre-deployment setting.
- Available for 24/7 on-call support as an escalation manager during assigned shifts.
- Managing daily operations with the project sustainment and support team working on 24/7 call rotation and preventative maintenance at multiple nearby customer locations in the San Francisco South Bay Area.
- Responsible for communicating with stakeholders and team members for sustainment support schedule, scope of work, and further developing and tracking KPIs, resolutions updates, follow ups needed in a timely manner.
- Develop and present regular reports on KPI metrics, root cause analysis, resolution SLAs met and team accomplishments.
- Collaborate with the program managers and the project team to develop new proposals, technical bill of materials and estimate needed work expertise and work hours.
- Responsible for ordering projects materials, tools, and equipment.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly reports analyzing projects budget, schedule, cash flow, and manpower.
- Identifying opportunities for quality improvement and incorporating best practices.
- Ensuring the project team follows all the best safety practices and adhering to all regulations.
- Work and collaborate with Procurement and Logistics departments to ensure timely and accurate procurement, shipment and receiving of equipment and materials related to the managed projects.
- Develop and maintain positive and assertive relationships with stakeholders, customers, vendors and partner teams.
Qualifications
Clearance/Citizenship: No Clearance is Required. Key Qualifications/Skills:
- High School Diploma/GED with 12+ years of experience
- Associate's Degree with 8+ years of experience
- Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of experience
- Must have project management experience with security installation projects.
- Must know how to use project scheduling software to include Microsoft Project, Smartsheets or others.
- Must have experience managing project budgets.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Experience:
- Performed project management duties on residential security, AV and/or low-voltage installation projects.
- Experience preparing proposals and pricing documents for new work.
- Financial management of security installation projects.
- Managed multiple projects at a given time.
- Managing and preparing teams for regular preventative maintenance through the year in developed timeline. Have needed equipment and supplies ready for the team ahead of time, and also follow up on reports.
- Experience with Service Teams, including knowledge of 24/7 support, managing and preparing teams, gathering and tracking support issues, timeliness, and resolutions
- Experience preparing precise and quick updates for all stakeholders on completed work
- Manage and track all support requests, including off-hours requests and create regular reports for the client.
- Preferred but not required: project management certifications like PMP or others.
Specific position requirements are as follows:
- Position will be on-site, based in San Jose/Sunnyvale California.
- Must have flexibility to commute to project sites within the San Francisco Bay Area, California.

Pay Range
USD $99,840.00 - USD $149,760.00 /Yr.
