We are currently looking for a Full Time Livestock Audit Specialist to join our growing team!

Job Summary:

Responsible for livestock audits and managing audit results in alignment with standard requirements and customer needs. Responsible for professional and ongoing communication with clients in all media formats. Represent FSNS C&A in a professional manner related to FSNS C&A functions. Make decisions related to inquiries made regarding audits performed.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Perform livestock audit services following objective assessment of functions and procedures for customers primarily in the livestock industry.
  • Conduct food safety, animal welfare, regulatory, process evaluation, and customer specific audits.
  • Relevant qualifications and training specific to audits performed including PAACO certification.
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining calibration between livestock auditors.
  • Perform required communication with new and existing customers
  • Act as technical representative and industry liaison and represent FSNS C&A at trade shows and seminars
  • Maintain a high degree of technical competence by reading scientific journals, attending professional workshops and being aware of livestock industry issues and trends
  • Supervise or participate in development areas as assigned by the management team
  • Must work closely with clients to meet their scheduling needs
  • Work as a team player to achieve deadlines and goals
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervision:

  • Position does not supervise incumbents but is required to practice independent discretion and judgement for area of responsibility. This position requires independent completion of work within established timeframes.
Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • BS degree in Animal Science, Food Science, Ag Business, Dairy Science, or related field, or focus with education or experience in Livestock management
  • Livestock husbandry experience

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

  • Regularly required to stand, sit, walk, climb, use hands and arms, talk and hear
  • Color vision and depth perception
  • Standing for extended periods of time
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and to handle other communications/computer components
  • Interactive and fast-paced team oriented tasks
  • Extreme cold and extreme heat

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to execute manual detailed tasks
  • Flexible schedules
  • Work within an office, manufacturing and livestock production environment
  • Extensive travel required
  • Prolonged sitting, viewing of computer screens
  • Work under stress with interruptions and deadlines

  • Manage work without supervision
  • Hold valid Driver's License
