How You'll Perform the Role

* Perform various duties to troubleshoot and repair production machines.

* Conducts machine setup, order changes and preventative maintenance

* Serve as first line supervisor for production operators ensuring work is completed in a safe and quality conscience manner.

* Submit accurate production reports daily and timely.

* Responsible for assigning the training to new employees.

* Continuously perform all required tasks in a safe manner, adhering to all established safety rules and procedures.

* Ensure all guards are in place and functioning properly

* Enforce all safety rules including but not limited to safe work procedures such as lockout/tag out.

* Enforce PPE requirements

* Identify safety training needs provide feedback to Safety Manager, Supervisor, or training coordinator.

* Check bags for quality defects off the machine, do all quality checks and paper-work as per Quality Policy.

* Ensure requires quality checks are being performed by the BMO

* Perform quality checks ate each roll change

* Identify quality training needs and provide feedback to quality manager, supervisor, or training coordinator

* Follow all quality policies and procedures. Must comply with all good manufacturing practices.

* Must comply with all safety practices and guidelines including PPE requirements. * Safely and efficiently

* Make machine set ups and order changeovers.

* Adjust and repair machines as needed in order to increase production, reduce downtime, eliminate quality issues and improve machine durability

* Monitor employee breaks and schedule relief as needed.

* Identify training needs and schedule training session with shift Supervisor/training coordinator.

* Monitor machine run speeds and adjust to run at budgeted speeds or better.

* Communicate any issues or pending work at shift change with the incoming adjusters

* Report machine issues and plan repair work accordingly,

* Maintain daily housekeeping standards

* Enforce all safety procedures and GMP polices

* Submit accurate production reports daily and timely.

* Meet/achieve safety, quality, production waste and housekeeping goals set forth by management.

* Performs other duties as assigned.


What We Need From You

  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Work overtime as required.
  • Ability perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to successfully multitask in a fast pace environment
  • The commitment to stay safe and to continue to learn and develop.
  • Satisfactorily completes training courses as determined by management.
