Position Summary/ Department Summary:
Serves as a team resource and a member of the department's initial support for the assigned Epic application and end-users. Work requires an understanding of the context and the relationships between operations and Epic related systems in addition to understanding the basis for current configurations in order to resolve moderately complex problems. With a deepening knowledge, begins to specialize in a particular area of a broad process. Key Responsibilities:
- Serves as a knowledgeable resource in a specialized area (e.g., revenue cycle, inpatient, or ambulatory), understanding workflows, historical system decisions, and their downstream implications.
- Engages stakeholders to gather requirements, identify root causes of issues, and propose system solutions that align with both operational needs and Epic capabilities.
- Performs moderately complex Epic build tasks-such as modifying rules, creating templates, and applying custom logic-while adhering to established protocols and change control processes.
- Investigates and resolves moderately complex system issues, including integration errors and peripheral device support, escalating when necessary.
- Coordinates with vendors and internal teams to implement, test, and maintain integrations between Epic and external systems or devices.
- Participates in Epic upgrades by reviewing release notes, outlining required build/testing, updating scripts, and ensuring timely communication with stakeholders.
- Collaborates regularly with super-users and department leads, provides specialty training, and may represent the team in internal/external meetings or Epic forums.
Minimum Qualifications Education:
- Bachelor's Degree or An Associate's Degree with an additional 2 years of related experience or a high school diploma/GED with an additional 4 years of related experience may substitute for a Bachelor's Degree is required
Experience:
- 1 year of experience directly involved in Epic ClinDoc, Ambulatory, ASAP, Optime application support and/or implementation in the targeted application(s) performing straightforward builds or template management is required

Licensure/ Certifications:
- Epic certification in Clindoc EPIC module is required
- EPIC Certification in ASAP, Ambulatory, and Optime is preferred
