Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the security team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Develop and enforce security policies, protocols, and procedures.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Coordinate with other departments to assess risks and implement preventive strategies.
- Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory security requirements.
- Prepare reports on security status, incidents, and implemented improvements.
- Coordinate daily shifts and assignments for security officers.
- Verify that officers comply with uniforms, radio use, and protocols.
- Provide clear instructions regarding patrols, controls, and reports.
- Monitor patrols and surveillance, supervising perimeter rounds, parking areas, docks, offices, warehouses, and restricted zones.
- Use physical or digital logbooks to ensure patrol records. Identify suspicious behavior and respond immediately.
- Control access by verifying personnel, visitor, and vehicle entry/exit procedures.
- Ensure only authorized personnel enter restricted areas.
- Incident management: Receive, document, and follow up on incident or security violation reports.
- Coordinate response to emergencies, thefts, fights, suspicious objects, or security breaches.
- Maintain constant communication via radio or official channels with officers, supervisors, and other departments (e.g., operations, maintenance).
- Participate in operational meetings or security briefings. Escalate critical concerns to immediate supervisor or operations manager.
- Support regulatory compliance: Ensure adherence to local regulations, TSA (in the U.S.), OSHA, or internal policies. Verify respect for safety zones, use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and safe loading procedures.
- Loss and theft prevention: Observe potential risks related to internal or external theft.
- Review vulnerable areas and propose physical improvements (lighting, cameras, barriers, etc.).
- Review camera logs or assist in internal investigations when necessary.
- Administrative support: Consolidate shift reports (entries, exits, incidents, patrols, anomalies).
- Assist in internal security audits. Maintain organized and updated records.

Requirements:
- Proven experience in a security leadership role (physical security, cybersecurity, or both).
- Solid knowledge of security systems, risk management, and emergency response planning.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Relevant security certifications.
- Fluency in English and Spanish.
