The Accounts Receivable Manager oversees the entire accounts receivable cycle, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of incoming payments and effective resolution of discrepancies and disputes (deductions, over pays, cash on account). Optimizes processes for cash flow, ensuring the team accurately applies customer payments as efficiently as possible, and maintaining positive customer relationships. Leads and mentors the team, driving efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvement within the department.

How you will make an impact:

  • Develops, updates and ensures compliance with internal financial policies and procedures while promoting an environment of internal controls.

  • Maintains subledger and related GL Accounts with accurate reconciliations and effective controls.

  • Develops, monitors, and maintains annual budget and manages expenses accordingly.

  • Leads team through continuous improvements to improve automation, processes, and/or policies.

  • Identifies efficiency opportunities through continuous improvement.

  • Completes weekly, monthly, and year-end close procedures (including annual Audit support).

  • Networks with related departments to ensure effective collaboration with the department.

  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends specific to the department to provide GFS with the best practice process and systems.

  • Interviews, hires, trains, and retains staff. Conducts performance monitoring of staff, initiates follow through with disciplinary action and termination in consultation with Human Resources when appropriate for the department. Mentors, motivates, and develops staff. Serves as a role model.

  • Provides vision and leadership to direct reports. Responsible for helping develop skills and abilities of employees.

  • Supports the on-going projects and initiatives related to the department (integrations, system upgrades, enhancements, new tools, etc...)

  • Reviews and maintains employee time and attendance records.

  • Implements and maintains employee and team incentive programs.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What you will bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's degree + Five years previous progressively responsible general accounting experience, including one year (or more) of previous supervisory experience.

  • Work content skills, special skills related to the job, knowledge of industry trends specific to transactional processing.

  • Arithmetic, measures, benchmarking, statistics, money, simple addition/subtraction, etc.

  • Comparing, classifying, innovating, analyzing, coordinating, copying, etc.

  • Reading (standard and technical), writing (business, technical, copy, etc.), speaking (basic, conversational, public speaking)

  • Motivating, teamwork, coaching, interactions with others, relationship building, etc.

  • Self direction, distraction, repetition, prioritization, fluctuations in workload, ambiguity, etc.

  • Knowledge of SAP Financial Software, HighRadius and other customized software applications preferred. Working awareness of RPA capabilities, ie BluePrism, UI Path.
