The Field Services Unit of Modjeski and Masters is seeking Civil Engineering Students interested in aCo-Op or Internship opportunity focusing onBridge Inspection for the Point-No-Point project in Kearny, NJ. This is an exciting opportunity to enhance your education with one of the nation's leading bridge engineering firms. What We're Looking For
What You'll Do Point-No-Point Bridge Project: M&M is providing management oversight for the entire project, making sure all aspects of the project are on schedule during the Final Design phase through the construction contract being awarded. This encompasses peer review of the structural, mechanical, electrical, utility, and ROW design plans, specifications, schedule, and estimate; permit review; tracking ROW acquisition; Conrail internal departments; coordinate Passaic River capping with regulatory agencies (USCG, USACOE, DEP, and EPA) and construction of the new bridge; and coordination with other transportation entities (PATH, NJ Transit, CSX, Amtrak, and NJTA). M&M is also tracking permit approval and ROW acquisition to ensure the timing of construction staging adheres to the permits and deed restrictions.

Who we are The Field Services Unit / Bridge Inspection Units main responsibilities include condition inspection of major bridge structures, related highway structures and tunnels, and construction inspection of bridge and other projects. M&M's expertise in coatings inspection is also housed in this unit, as is our technical access (rope climbing) program.
