Salary Exempt (United States of America) Essential Function - Roles/Responsibilities

This position is responsible for managing the implementation, testing, and lifecycle maintenance/administration of the Workday HRIS system; and interfacing with vendors and internal teams. This key role also oversees data integrity, security, and analytics/reporting metrics in Workday. The HRIS Manager focuses on maintaining a positive relationship with the business and other HR team members and contributes to Altium Packaging as an Employer of Choice.

Essential Job Functions and Qualifications

  • Design, implement, and maintain foundational principles for an HRIS system, including process and governance, change management, training, and maintenance to ensure operational efficiency.

  • Develop and maintain a functional project plan that guides the review and remediation of current functionality based on improved or upcoming functionality.

  • Lead the HRIS function in the day-to-day activities to support Workday modules: HCM, compensation, benefits, absence, time tracking, learning, talent & performance, payroll, and other Workday functional and cross-functional areas.

  • Manage Workday/HRIS inquiries in the Company's ServiceDesk, ensuring appropriate support is provided to requesters.

  • Act as collaborative thought partner with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership, to drive improvements and enhance user experience.

  • Provide overall prioritization of work assignments and management of team resources and activities.

  • Promote proactive approaches to using Workday to solve business needs while enhancing understanding and end user proficiency.

  • As needed, negotiate priorities and support collaborative requirements with IS and other functions, including HR Business Partners.

  • Plan, budget and forecast HRIS needs for Workday and related third-party applications.

  • Maintain awareness of Workday releases and third-party practices and the potential impacts on current and future HRIS functionality.

  • Partner with senior leadership on business activities that have a direct impact on Workday, providing a comprehensive business case to include assessment and proposed remediation of impact.

  • Foster technical growth of self and team through training and development and stay up to date on new and emerging technologies around the Workday ecosystem.

  • Maintain appropriate safeguarding of sensitive data and security.

  • Lead by example, cultivating authentic culture transformation by modelling Altium's Guiding Principles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree, Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Human Resources or a related field.

  • 5+ years of Workday experience in an analyst or administrator role supporting core HR functions

  • Advanced user-level in Excel and basic knowledge of other Microsoft Office Suite software.

  • Experience with capturing requirements and documenting business processes as well as prototyping and testing.

  • Demonstrated ability to create, modify, and manage Workday calculated fields and security roles while evaluating downstream implications.

  • Proven consulting and communications skills with a service-oriented approach to internal customers and peer relationships.

  • Analyze sensitive and highly confidential information and ability to critically analyze data and produce reports and dashboards that impact multiple levels of the organization.

  • Demonstrated understanding of HRIS database design, structure, functions and processes.
