Senior Buyer

SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Senior
Buyer to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for
sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, components, and services
essential to our production operations. The ideal candidate will have supervisory
experience with a deep knowledge of procurement practices and procedures, supply
chain management, vendor relations, and cost optimization in a manufacturing
environment.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with production schedules and company goals.
  • Prepare requests for quote, price and information proposals.
  • Source and evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and service.
  • Perform onsite supplier audits.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to ensure optimal value.
  • Gather and communicate monthly demand forecasts to vendors.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, or compliance.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure material specifications are met.
  • Analyze market trends and assess risks to maintain supply chain continuity.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • 7+ years of procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing or just-in-time (JIT) inventory systems.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and high competency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CPM, CPSM, APICS) are a plus.
