Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a Security Assistant for a contract supporting the Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve Command Test Center (AATC). The candidate will assist the MTSI Contract Program Manager, AATC Advanced Programs Director, and their team with security related administrative needs. Responsibilities
As a Security Assistant with MTSI, you will provide on-site security administrative support to AATC as required by Advanced Programs Director. The successful candidate will interface with personnel and government management personnel to ensure security compliance with National Industrial Security Operating Manual (NISPOM), DoDM 5205.07 Vols 1-4, Contract Security Classification Specification (DD254), and Program Classification Guides. The candidate will possess the confidence to make critical security decisions to implement security procedures that will prevent unauthorized access to company and government facilities or information. Primary responsibilities are but not limited to:
- Conduct security self-inspections, apply risk mitigation methodologies, support customer assessments, and implement security measures to meet requirements.
- Administer day-to-day security programs, personnel processing, program reviews, document control system, audits & self-inspections, violation investigations & reports, receipt/dispatch/destruction/mail logs, visit certs, etc.
- Perform physical, personnel and administrative security responsibilities.
- Interpret company and government security policies and apply them to program operations.
- Administer and track personnel security clearances via DISS (Defense Information System for Security) and eQIP.
- Coordinate with government agencies to ensure compliance and resolve security issues.
- Work closely with the MTSI Program Manager and Site Lead to implement government administrative requirements to execute the contract and maintain a commitment to security while creating and delivering the highest value to AATC.
- Directly support AATC in an independent, high-energy environment around teams of industry, government and military personnel consisting of engineers, analysts, pilots, and aircrew.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of industrial security management in a cleared defense / defense contracting environment.
- In-depth experience with Microsoft Office Tools.
- Familiar with NISPOM, 32 CFR Part 117, DoDM 5205.07, and DCSA (formerly DSS) guidelines.
- Experience with DISS, NISS, eQIP, SWFT, and similar systems.
- Demonstrated success managing personnel security clearance (PCL) processes, including SF-86, Visit Requests, initial and periodic reinvestigations.
- Strong knowledge of classified information marking, storage, transmission, and destruction procedures.
- Familiarity with classified contracts, DD254 forms, and subcontractor security coordination.
- Strong ability to work in a team environment with demonstrated leadership and customer interface skills.
- Must have a can-do attitude and be self-starting, ambitious, and hard-working.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
Education Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate degree in a business, technical, related discipline, Desired.
