We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Center Cable Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in structured cabling, fiber optics, and network infrastructure within a data center environment. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability and performance of our data center operations.
Key Responsibilities: * Install, terminate, and test copper and fiber optic cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, SM/MM fiber) * Perform cable management, labeling, and documentation according to industry standards * Troubleshoot and repair connectivity issues in a timely manner * Maintain and update network diagrams and documentation * Work closely with network engineers and data center operations teams * Ensure compliance with safety and security protocols Qualifications: * 3+ years of experience in data center or network cabling * Strong knowledge of structured cabling standards (TIA/EIA) * Proficiency with cable testers, OTDRs, and fiber scopes * Familiarity with data center environments and best practices * Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs * Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills * BICSI certification or equivalent is a plus Preferred Skills: * Experience with cable management systems (e.g., Panduit, Chatsworth) * Knowledge of network hardware (switches, routers, patch panels) * Understanding of data center power and cooling systems *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00/hr.
