Senior Network Engineer

Senior Network Engineer - (employer: Sirius XM Radio LLC; job location: New York, NY) - As part of Enterprise Network & Security team, design, deploy, operate, and optimize network infrastructure from our campus networks to the enterprise networks at our data centers. Triage, diagnose, and debug network issues across our responsible areas such as: routing/switching, wireless, firewalls, load balancers. Drive automation efforts towards a "Configuration as Code" paradigm. Provide subject matter expertise to software and systems engineers and technical support teams. Create and keep up-to-date documentation. Continuously advance standards and practices in collaboration with other engineers. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (Computer, Mechanical or Electrical) or Information Technology, plus five years of progressive post-Bachelor's experience in the position offered or another network engineer position. All required experience must have included implementing, maintaining and supporting campus network environments applying deep understanding of IP networking fundamentals including TCP, UDP, IPv4, and IPv6; working with Cisco, Arista, Palo Alto, F5, and Juniper hardware platforms; setting up and maintaining wireless networks including authentication concepts via 801.2x and RADIUS; working with network protocols including BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, EVPN, DMVPN, IP Multicast, and SD-WAN; using L2/L3 switching architecture design, VLANs, VPC, MLAG, HSRP, GLBP, VRRP, LACP, STP, RSTP, VTP, QoS and ACLs; working with Palo Alto firewalls, Palo Alto GlobalProtect VPN, Cisco ASA firewalls, Cisco AnyConnect and site-to-site VPN technologies; using network monitoring and troubleshooting tools Sniffer, Wireshark, Syslog and Netflow; automating network devices with tools Python, Ansible, Terraform or Go; and working with zero trust security using Aruba ClearPass or Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE). #LI-DNI.
