Job Description

Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) drives tangible, impactful and financial results for Visa's network clients, including both financial services and merchants. Drawing on our expertise in strategy consulting, data analytics, brand management, marketing, operational and macroeconomics, Visa Consulting and Analytics solves the most strategic problems for our clients. VCA partners closely with Intelligence and Data Solutions (IDS) to enable our creative solutions that have an immediate impact on the business of our highly analytical partners.

The Strategy and Operations (S&O) team supports North America VCA through setting standards, developing foundational processes, assisting with budget and driving operational performance for the consulting organization. ThisSr. Manager, Strategy & Operationsrole will specifically support the IDS Team in North America and be a part of the S&O organization.

This is a critical role and key collaborator who is responsible for managing the Data Science team's project assignments and ensuing accurate forecasting to effectively manage the supply and demand of projects. The Sr. Manager will provide insightful and accurate reporting and analysis to leadership and project leads while serving as a strategic partner for IDS. The role will work closely with S&O, IDS, Sourcing, Talent Acquisition, and VCA Practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Build a strong rapport with Business Partners, Data Science team members, and Project Leads to assign suitable resources to projects, balance workloads, and ensure projects are assigned efficiently through usage of Data Science resources.

  • Structure and build quantitative and qualitative analyses and develop business frameworks linked to our VCA initiatives.

  • Drive the analysis of the financial impact of scaled solutions, including identifying implications of data and analysis with the team, articulating recommendations, put action plans in place and drive progress.

  • Validate forecasts against actual results, providing insightful analysis and recommendations to improve accuracy and effectiveness.

  • Act as the IDS North America Chief of staff and support the Vice President of North America, IDS.

  • Host and schedule weekly check-ins with project leads to identify excessive or under-utilized resources to help resolve potential gaps and ensure that assignments are on target to meet deadlines

  • Identify and share ways to continuously improve hiring and onboarding process.

  • Manage the integrity of data related to headcount, hiring and onboarding processes for all resources Participate in Employee Engagement activities managed by the Leadership Team Provide Recruiting event support (scheduling and tracking)

  • Identify pricing revisions opportunities for improvement of revenue generation.

  • Participate in the development and tracking of the North America (NA) IDS Annual Operating Plan and other verticals. Analyze "net new" project revenue and reflect it in the AOP baseline. Determine quarter-over-quarter AOP revenue targets. Facilitate alignment with other VCA leaders regarding a finalized AOP plan.

  • Engage with partners to maintain the VCA NA P&L, with focus on IDS.Further refine the existing P&L statement to ensure it accurately reflects true business performance. Update P&L on an ongoing basis. Forecast project revenue and expense for the quarter and for the fiscal year. Report status to senior leadership

  • Provide VCA Global Leadership with insight into the performance of the VCA IDSbusinesses across global regions.

  • Supporting broader S&O team with ad hoc strategic projects that impact the VCA organization.

  • Support the coordination of strategic initiatives aimed at optimizing revenue.

  • A power-user of with PowerBI, Excel, PowerApps, and PowerPoint tools.

  • Write and optimize SQL queries to access data from different databases and platforms.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
  • Passionate, self-motivated, results oriented individual with the ability to handle numerous projects concurrently.
  • Knowledge and understanding of banking operations and/or payment schemes, including products & services, business systems and processes, and marketing initiatives.
  • Excellent client relationship management skills and ability to develop a credible point of view on a variety of industry topics, acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Strong analytical skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor.
  • Executive presence including excellent communication and presentations skills, written and verbal, and ability to communicate at all levels within large organizations.
  • Demonstrated leadership, managerial and collaboration capabilities, particularly with those who are not direct reports as may be found in a matrixed organization.
  • Experience using financial indicators to measure business performance with a significant focus on impacting return on investment.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 127,400 to 217,500 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
